Hola, I'm
Rodrigo Cuellar
My entire life has been steeped in coffee, a journey that began when I was just five years old. Working alongside my father, my siblings and I learned the art of coffee cultivation. As we grew older, our father generously gifted each of us a portion of his land to tend and nurture. My siblings, seeking to pursue their dreams in the city, entrusted their shares to me, leaving me to carry on our family's legacy.
The early days were far from easy, as I began by planting only a few coffee trees. The challenging circumstances often led me to contemplate giving up, especially since the financial recognition for our hard work and dedication to delivering a quality product was often lacking. Nevertheless, I persevered, and today, my farm, El Recuerdo, is home to 35,000 coffee trees, flourishing at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level.
It is on this very land that my family has grown, composed of my unwaveringly supportive wife, our five children - although one is no longer with us - and me. We are filled with hope and optimism as we embark on this new alliance with Progeny, believing that it will lead to a brighter future for all of us.
Every coffee bean that grows on El Recuerdo is a testament to the love, dedication, and resilience that have carried us through the years. As we continue to nurture our land and harvest its bountiful gifts, we look forward to sharing the fruits of our labor with the world, one exceptional cup of coffee at a time.
